NDNU’s Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and Master of Arts in School Administration is a 30 – unit integrated program. The program includes courses in leadership, management, finance, human resources, curriculum development, and assessment. We embed administration fieldwork in coursework to allow candidates to apply course content in “real life” school administration responsibilities.

For admission, applicants must possess a valid teaching, designated subjects, or services credential; meet the California basic skills requirement; have three years of classroom teaching experience or experience in a service area field; take introductory Psychology and Sociology courses or complete them by mid-program; interview with the Administrative Services Program Director.


The Masters in School Administration and the Preliminary Admin Services Credential requires 30-semester units of study.

Cohort classes meet two evenings a week to meet the needs of adult students who are working in districts/schools during the day


Credentialed teachers can transfer up to 6-units of graduate level coursework not applied to another degree
